TheCrate Low Table is part of an iconic collaboration between Danish HAY and Dutch Rietveld Originals. The Crate Collection is a collection of wooden furniture based on Dutch designer Gerrit Rietveld's classic Crate chair, designed in 1934. The vision behind the chair was to make excess wood from shipping crates useful, and the geometric crate shape is repeated in the collection's design. Rietveld's design philosophy revolved around creative functionality and modern design at affordable prices, which one-to-one align with the values that HAY exudes.
The coffee table is constructed from simple wooden boards, with a traditional cross construction that makes the table visually eye-catching. The Crate Low Table is especially beautiful in combination with the lounge chair from the Crate Collection, both of which have a low height that is perfect for the lounge environment.
