Stine Goya - Autumn/Winter 2019 collection
A Truman Melody

The collection finds the essence of the Goya woman in the eclectic and varied style of the individual Swans, who included Lee Razdiwill, Marella Agnelli, Babe Paley and Slim Keith, exploring getting dressed for one legendary night at the Plaza Hotel in 1966 to how each expressed their iconic styles in their daily wardrobes, throughout the 50s until the 1970s.

The season owes a debt to the night time hours with looks for all occasions and individuals. A one shoulder polka dot gown, imagined in black burnout velvet, evokes their unabashed glamour, whilst a high necked fluid silk dress is painted with images of the Swans themselves. The drama of a tailored coat and crisply cut trousers are rendered in an elegant gold and black check.

Capote’s own 70s style forms the inspiration for a collection of luxurious shirts; in satins and prints with contrast stitching and oversize collars and cuffs.

The suit cuts a swathe across the dancefloor, its masculine classic shapes lifted with Goya magenta frills, checks and a bold teal.
