J18 was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1945. In 1942-1950, Børge Mogensen was head of the FDB design studio. He is an extremely prominent figure in Danish furniture design and has helped to make Danish design world famous. The chair is inspired by the English windor chair from the 18th century. J18 is made from FSC-certified beech from European forests. The chair has a solid back and a seat that, with its discreet recess and small inclination, ensures good comfort.
