Dining chair from Muuto

Workshop Chair

The Workshop Chair from Muuto, designed by Cecilie Manz, is a tribute to classic wooden furniture, executed with understated elegance. The chair is constructed with a solid frame and legs in solid wood, either oak or Oregon pine depending on the variant, complemented by a form-pressed veneer seat and back. The slightly curved seat and slender backrest shell with a soft, rounded top edge create an ergonomic shape that embraces the body. The water-based lacquer provides a durable surface that highlights the wood's natural structure and ensures a long lifespan for this timeless design.

This chair fits beautifully into modern Scandinavian interiors, where its simple silhouette and solid craftsmanship can create a calm and inviting atmosphere. Use it as a dining chair in the kitchen-diner, where it will look stunning with a solid wood table, or as a discreet seating option in the hallway. The Workshop Chair also works well in a bedroom as an elegant detail, possibly combined with a soft sheepskin for extra comfort and texture.
