Dining chair from Muuto

Nerd Chair

The Nerd Chair from Muuto, designed by David Geckeler, is a beautiful example of modern Nordic chair art. The chair's back and seat are made of form-pressed veneer over a plywood core, and the legs are solid wood, all finished with a water-based lacquer. This construction creates a seamless transition between the back and seat, contributing to both the chair's comfort and its inviting expression. The curved seat shape invites various sitting positions, and the low back provides comfortable support, emphasizing its solid quality and timeless elegance.

The Nerd Chair works beautifully in many rooms of the home, from the dining area to the home office or as a sculptural single chair in the living room. Its understated design fits perfectly into a Nordic interior style and complements both light wood types and colorful textiles. Combine it with a simple solid wood dining table to create a light and airy atmosphere, or let it stand alone as a striking design element.
