TheSilver Root Dining Table from CAIA LEIFSDOTTER DESIGN STUDIO combines functionality and aesthetics in a sculptural alternative to traditional dining tables. Swedish designer Caisa Leifsdotter's design philosophy, does away with the traditional 'form follows function' mindset, and instead thinks that her designs can be 'a little too much.'
This is evident in the Silver Root tables, where the base has an organic design that mostly resembles flowing water. When the soft shapes are combined with the hard material of shiny polished steel, the contrasts come into play beautifully. The tables are combined with a marble tabletop that counteracts the sterile steel while creating dynamism to the design.
- Material Handcrafted in polished stainless steel with Bianco Carrara marble top.
- Mounting The table includes a steel plate that screws onto the frame and creates a base for the tabletop. The marble top will thus lie loosely on top of the steel top.
- Care instructions The steel base is cleaned with steel cleaner or window cleaner followed with a thin coat of oil applied with a soft cloth. Marble is cleaned with a detergent suitable for stone and marble.
