The new Byflou is not bankrupt. But On 27 February 2026, Datoselskabet BF af februar ApS (formerly Byflou.com ApS, the old Byflou company) was declared bankrupt. If you are a former customer or creditor, this page explains what happened and what you can do.

A brief history
Seventeen years of Byflou.
Byflou.com was founded in 2009 and grew over seventeen years into a respected name in Scandinavian design, with nearly 100 employees and customers across Europe.
When the former company closed in February 2026, it was a difficult moment for everyone involved — the team, the partners, and most of all the customers who were affected. None of us wanted it to end the way it did.
Byflou.com is now operated by KasaSagi ApS — a Danish company with no legal or financial connection to Datoselskabet BF af februar ApS. We have acquired only the name and domain. Not the company, its debts, its data, or its obligations to customers.
What we can do

What we cannot do
And why the trustee is your right contact.
Because we have only acquired the name and domain — not the company itself — we have no legal access to anything that belonged to the former Byflou. We cannot look up your order. We cannot verify a refund. We cannot access payment records, gift card balances, or customer data. We have no authority to act on behalf of the bankruptcy estate.
This is not a matter of policy — it is a matter of fact. Under Danish bankruptcy law, only the appointed trustee at DLA Piper has access to the records and the authority to handle claims from former customers, suppliers, and creditors.
If you have an outstanding matter with the former Byflou — an undelivered order, a refund, a warranty claim, a gift card, or any other claim — the trustee is the only party who can help you.
Your options
How to recover your money.
There are several avenues available to you. We encourage you to pursue all of them — even if you are unsure whether the deadline has passed. Do not assume it is too late before you have tried.
Contact your bank — request a chargeback
If you paid by credit or debit card, call your bank and ask for a chargeback. Tell them the goods were never delivered and that the company has since been declared bankrupt. Most banks will consider your case — it is always worth asking, even after the standard deadline.
Bring your order confirmation, payment receipt, and any correspondence with the former Byflou.
Paid via PayPal — open a dispute now
If you paid through PayPal, you are likely covered by PayPal Buyer Protection. Log in, find the transaction, and open a dispute under "Item not received." PayPal handles bankruptcy cases and investigates claims directly. This is often the fastest route to a refund.
PayPal's standard dispute window is 180 days from the payment date. If your payment was made close to 27 February 2026, act immediately.
File a claim with the bankruptcy trustee
All creditors — including customers with undelivered orders, refunds, gift cards, warranty claims, or discount codes — can file a formal claim with the appointed trustee at DLA Piper. Filing registers you as a creditor in the bankruptcy estate.
Filing a claim does not guarantee payment, but it is the correct legal step. Do not skip it.
