TheSilver Root Base from CAIA LEIFSDOTTER DESIGN STUDIO combines functionality and aesthetics in a sculptural alternative to traditional table legs. Swedish designer Caisa Leifsdotter's design philosophy, does away with the traditional 'form follows function' mindset, and instead thinks that her designs can be 'a little too much.'

This is evident in the Silver Root tables, where the base has an organic design that mostly resembles flowing water. When the soft shapes are combined with the hard material of shiny polished steel, the contrasts come into play beautifully. With the base, it is possible to add your own tabletop for a unique look, or simply use the base as a side table in the living room.
