VERPAN
IN THE SPIRIT OF VERNER PANTON

Verner Panton is one of the key figures in Danish design history, and his extravagant and colourful universe has come to characterise Danish design as we know it today. Panton's vibrant universe has created artistic design classics, which over the years, and still today, can be found in many Danish homes.

A pioneer in Danish design history

Verner Panton (1926-1998) studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before working at Arne Jacobsen's design studio. Later in 1955, Panton opened his own design studio.

Panton's unique sense of design developed from his passion for the function and qualities of light, and has resulted in eccentric theories about the ideal lamp shape.

20 years with Panton's design universe

Verpan was founded in 2003 to celebrate Verner Panton as a designer and his unique vision within lighting. Designs such as the Moon Lamp, Pantop, Wire Lamp and the beloved VP Globe headlined Verpan's range.

In 2010, Verpan expanded with a furniture line that featured Panton's most iconic designs in furniture and interiors, such as Cloverleaf, System 1-2-3 and Barboy.
Verpan is the exclusive owner of all Panton's designs, and as the official licensee, Verpan contributes to keeping Verner Panton's creative spirit alive.

Timeless colours

Verner Panton stood out from the great designers of his time. His eye for colour, sculptural forms, easy functionality and the space around him was a unique quality.

His designs are easily recognisable - graphically simple yet extravagant and bursting with soul. As a result, Verner Panton's designs remain relevant even in today's modern home, and are timeless in their own way.

Verpan & sustainable production

Balancing classic design heritage and modern needs is an art in itself. But at Verpan, upholding environmental and social responsibility in the context of today's climate issues remains a core value.

Verpan uses high-quality materials that are designed to respect the environment and last for many years. Materials such as PE and PP are recyclable in all Verpan products, all wood is FCS-certified, packaging is minimised and the shipment is completely biofuel-free.

The furniture and lamps are made to last for generations and to be resold through many decades. At Verpan, they have tried to produce furniture and lamps in easily removable and exchangeable parts.
