Oil Tube

Oil Tube from Studio About is a beautiful artistic oil light. The oil light is designed by architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen, as a modern reinterpretation of the classic oil light. It is durable and smart, as it can be reused again and again, by simply refilling with new wicks and more lamp oil. The Oil Tube has a crystal clear glass surface that creates a beautiful glow when lit. Its playful curved shape makes it its own little work of art. Place it on the windowsill for an elegant eye-catcher or combine it with other colourful decorations.

The set consists of 1 oil candle, funnel for filling with oil, 4 wicks with a burning time of over 1000 hours each and 2 small glass tubes to hold the wicks.

• Use When filling, place the wicks in the small glass tubes. Then put oil into one of the oil lamp's two holes, using the funnel provided with the kit. Be careful not to overfill the oil light as this may result in the oil spilling into the other hole. Put a small drop of oil on top of the wick and let 3-5 mm of wick protrude to the flame, so that the flame does not get too long. When extinguishing, blow or use a candle snuffer.
• Specifications The oil candle wicks supplied have a burn time of over 1000 hours each. It is recommended that you use oil from Alaska as this is the oil that burns best in the oil candle.
• Material The oil lamp is made of coloured & mouth blown borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is known to be a super durable type of glass that can withstand temperature shocks.
