The Bit Side Table from Normann Copenhagen, designed by Simon Legald, is a piece of furniture that draws inspiration from architectural forms such as monoliths. The table is crafted from recycled Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) derived from industrial and household plastic waste, combined with a smaller proportion of new PE. Using a rotational molding technique, small plastic pieces are formed into a single, waterproof element, creating its characteristic pixelated surface. This unique manufacturing process ensures that each individual Bit Side Table is one-of-a-kind with its own play of colors and pattern, testifying to solid craftsmanship and a timeless expression.
