The 'Yksi' chair, designed by Thau & Kallio, is the result of the design duo's shared love of innovative production techniques and new materials, combined with classic carpentry. 'Yksi' is one of the duo's classic pieces of furniture, based mostly on carpentry and traditional materials, but challenging the classical idiom with a visually captivating design. The philosophy behind the furniture is based on the idea of creating a piece of furniture that is at once sculpturally interesting in design and consists only of the chair's essential elements, without superfluous details.

The chair is created in solid wood, with the legs of the chair beautifully crafted in a Y-shape, as well as a backrest that floats above the seat. The curve of the backrest as well as the seat are well proportioned to ensure the good seating comfort that not only adapts to the space but also to the human being.

• Base in solid oiled or lacquered wood with seat and back in matching plywood. QuickClik plastic or felt slippers are available on request.
• For cleaning lacquered wood, a mild solution of soap flakes or all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Then polish with a dry soft cloth. Never leave liquids on lacquered wood surfaces as this may cause the lacquer to delaminate.
