Pendant Lamp from LYFAPan Pendant
The Pan Pendant from LYFA is designed by Bent Karlby and was originally launched in 1970. The iconic lamp is made of cylindrical aluminum tubes that create a sculptural silhouette with a graphic and timeless expression. The anodized aluminum surface catches the light elegantly and adds depth to the design - both on and off. The top opening lets the light seep out as a glow, while the downward light is targeted and functional. Pan works as both lighting and aesthetic element in modern spaces.
Its versatile expression makes it ideal above the dining table, in the hallway or as a sculptural contrast in minimalist environments. The downward-facing light cone provides a precise light, while the ambient lighting creates a warm atmosphere. Combine Pan with other elements in anodized metal or organic woods for a balanced whole. Its clean shapes and industrial look complement both classic and contemporary interiors.
Bent Karlby was known for his ability to unite function and poetry in his work. His long-standing collaboration with LYFA resulted in a number of striking designs, with Pan standing as one of the most iconic. LYFA builds on this legacy with an uncompromising approach to quality and design.
