Jens Risom's 'A-Chair' is a perfect example of his Scandinavian-American designs, which were built on a philosophy of streamlined forms and humble comfort. Jens Risom was one of the golden generation of designers during Danish modernism, characterised by exceptional quality in execution and materials, while experimenting with visual expression. The 'A-chair' was created with this in mind, with the shell of the chair made from a combination of streamlined and organic curves, with a slope that gives the chair that classic lounge feel. The frame is created in contrasting wood, with the chair back resting on the characteristic a-shaped backrest. Originally a practical feature, the backrest has become the chair's signature detail.

• Frame in black/clear lacquered oak or clear lacquered walnut. Seat with blind frame in wood upholstered with HR or CMHR foam and covered in desired textile. Matching removable back and seat cushions with foam core and down feather.
• For cleaning lacquered wood, a mild solution of soap flakes or all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Then polish with a dry soft cloth. Never leave liquids on lacquered wood surfaces as this may cause the lacquer to delaminate.
• Avoid letting textiles and leather come into contact with liquids or oils. If stains occur, professional cleaning is recommended. When cleaning frames, use a damp cloth without harsh chemicals.
