The Ocean Chair by Mater is an iconic reinterpretation of a classic designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1955. The chair is a fusion of traditional Danish design heritage and a modern responsible vision, where the familiar Ditzel design is made from responsible materials of recycled fishing nets and plastic.

The eco-conscious profile is strong in the Ocean series - each individual chair helps save the ocean from 960 grams of plastic waste and the chair's materials can be recycled again and again. And this history only adds to the beauty of the furniture. A light structure and variation in colors give the furniture an authentic design, where the materials are as much a part of the character of the furniture as the design itself.

The chair is composed with an elegant minimalist frame in steel that perfectly snakes into the perfect ergonomic shape. The frame provides the framework for the four characteristic slats that are shaped and adapted to human proportions. The durable materials and simple design are suitable for outdoor use and are the ideal garden set for the modern terrace or outdoor environment.
