Wigiwama began as a loving gesture - a handmade tent created by Anastasia Hotulova for her daughter's birthday. This simple yet thoughtful design was the start of a design journey with the ambition to create functional and aesthetic children's furniture with a timeless look. Since 2016, Wigiwama has evolved from an entrepreneurial dream to an established design company with international reach.

The philosophy behind the brand is rooted in three basic principles: functionality, aesthetics and versatility. Wigiwama is about more than just children's furniture - it's about creating an environment where children can grow with design and recognise quality and beauty from an early age. The brand insists that children's furniture can also be an integral part of the overall interior design of the home, without compromising on comfort or design.

The clean lines, muted colours and soft fabrics create a calm and harmonious atmosphere that appeals to both children and adults. Each Wigiwama sofa, chair and beanbag is designed with the needs of the child in mind, but with a design that allows the furniture to be enjoyed by adults too.

Quality and ethics behind Wigiwama's furniture

Wigiwama has its own production in Latvia, where each product is handmade with care and under strict quality control. This control ensures not only the highest standards, but also responsible and transparent production. The brand emphasises ethical manufacturing and only uses materials that are safe for both children and the environment. All textiles are OEKO-TEX® certified and they use recycled materials like their GRS®-certified velvet made from PET bottles. The filling materials are non-toxic and hypoallergenic, making the products both safe and durable.

By running production close to home, Wigiwama reduces transport CO2 emissions and uses recyclable and biodegradable materials for packaging, further minimising environmental impact. All shipments are made with GoGreen climate-compensated delivery, where CO2 emissions are calculated and mitigated through climate initiatives.

What happens to your order from the old Byflou?

On 27 February 2026, Datoselskabet BF af februar ApS (formerly Byflou.com ApS) was declared bankrupt by the Danish Probate Court in Aalborg. We have acquired the name and domain Byflou.com — not the company. This means we do not assume any debts, orders or obligations from the previous Byflou, and that we are neither legally nor financially able to assist with losses incurred there.

For some, the closure of Byflou was more than an inconvenience — it was trust that was broken. We carry that with us. We cannot undo what happened, but we can build something that deserves yours. And we hope, in time, to earn a place in your home again.

If you have an undelivered order, a pending refund, a complaint or warranty claim, a gift card or a discount code from the previous Byflou — the appointed trustee is your point of contact. We are unable to assist with any of these matters.
