The French design duo, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, have created one of HAY's most iconic ranges of furniture architecture in a unique collaboration. A combination of the simple geometric expression and strong materials ensure the chair a long life that patinates with time, as well as a timeless expression that still captures the essence of HAY's design universe.
The classic Palissade chair is made of steel with a strong powder-coated finish in three organic colours. The latest addition to the Palissade collection is finished in galvanised steel. The life of the furniture is extended by a hot-dip galvanising process, where the steel is dipped in molten zinc to form a glossy surface that protects against rust and offers a maintenance-free finish. Adorning the home both indoors and out, the collection features a universal design, perfect for domestic and professional use.

- Chair in either powder coated steel or hot dip galvanized steel
- Cushions in matching colours can be purchased separately
- The chairs can be stacked, but we do not recommend moving the chairs around while stacked as the weight will damage the legs
- When purchasing hot-dip galvanised versions, it is recommended to wipe the chair before use as the steel can oxidise and leave marks
