The About a Chair Collection is one of HAY's most distinctive series, embracing a range of chairs that, with the same starting point, each have their unique design and purpose. From dining chairs with ultra minimalist tendencies to lounge chairs with soft and colourful design language. Danish Hee Welling, with his own love for art and design has created a collection that captures the essence of HAY's unique design spirit, while being functional and aesthetic. The curvaceous design language seen in the chair's seat is echoed and complimented with a host of beautiful textiles, contemporary materials and functional details.
About a Chair 223 is composed of a wooden base that gives the chair a cozy and informal look and a wide shell, with armrests and high backrest that create an embracing design. A simple design that fits into any interior with a wide variety of modern colours and three finishes; matt lacquered, soap-treated and black stained.
