J39 is a Danish design classic created by Børge Mogensen in 1947 and produced by Fredericia Furniture. It is known as the Folkestolen for its simple, functional design and wide appeal - both in private homes and public spaces. The chair combines honest materials, strong craftsmanship and timeless aesthetics.

Made from solid wood (oak, beech or walnut) with a seat in natural or black paper weave, it patinates beautifully over time. Inspired by both international and Danish craftsmanship traditions, the J39 is a piece of furniture that will last for generations - both in style and durability.

• Material: Base in lacquered oak, oiled oak, soap treated oak, soap treated beech, lacquered beech or oiled walnut with seat in natural or black paper wicker.
• Maintenance: When cleaning oiled wood, a mild solution of soap flakes or a cleaning agent for oiled wood surfaces is recommended. New oil must then be added to prevent the wood from drying out.
• When cleaning varnished wood, a mild solution of soap flakes or all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Then polish with a dry soft cloth. Never leave liquids on varnished wood surfaces as this can cause the varnish to delaminate.
• When cleaning soap-treated and untreated wood, use a soft cloth wrung out in a mild solution of soap flakes. Always wipe in the grain direction of the wood. Never use water on untreated wood surfaces if it can be avoided
