Baum und Pferdgarten is today one of the biggest fashion niche brands in Denmark. Formed by two strong and fashion conscious women, Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehaven, the internationally acknowledged brand has formed a community and concept, focusing on wild prints and combinations of materials. Today, Baum und Pferdgarten is a well-known label on the major international fashion scene, and is a regular part of Copenhagen Fashion Week as well as some of the largest fashion retailers in over 25 countries.

About Baum und Pferdgarten

Baum und Pferdgarten was founded in 1999 by Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, who met at the Copenhagen Design Academy. The brand is a fusion of the two women, both in the creation of the brand's name, but also when it comes to their creative souls.

Both women have a strong vision to create fashion-conscious women all over the world, but also to challenge the classic Nordic style, which is mostly characterised by earth tones. Baum und Pferdgarten puts this Nordic concept on the edge with their expressive and colourful collections. Here you will find distinctive prints, unconventional materials combined in unexpected juxtapositions and innovative styles.

Rikke and Helle have managed to create one of the strongest design identities on the Danish fashion scene, and are not afraid to expand their collaborations. Over the past decades, Baum und Pferdgarten has entered into several different collabs with major brands such as Skagen Denmark, Shaka Footwear, Coke Light and many great creative artists.

Wild dresses, expressive jackets and popular basics from Baum und Pferdgarten

Baum und Pferdgarten's design portfolio is a universe in itself, featuring seasonal collections, regular basic styles and exclusive collaborations.

Each year, four comprehensive collections are released, all inspired and shaped by the season and its contemporaneity. These collections are often filled with wild dresses in unique cuts, unconventional shirts in artistic prints, expressive jackets and a wide palette of accessories that match the collection's theme. At the same time, the collections also have a wide target audience, appealing to feminine shapes, sporty souls and hyper-modern trendsetters alike.

Alongside these seasonal collections, Baum und Pferdgarten has a portfolio of regular styles that are regularly produced in different prints and colours, but with the same recognisable fit. Here you'll find the Jolain dress, the Jodi blouse and a range of great basic styles in sweatshirts, t-shirts and jeans.

Sustainability and social responsibility at Baum und Pferdgarten.

As a hyper-modern fashion brand, sustainability and environmental responsibility are core values at Baum und Pferdgarten. By creating a harmony between production, sustainability and the social environment first and foremost, Baum und Pferdgarten ensures a strong brand that they can be proud of.

But they are not afraid to tackle environmental issues and have pioneered a number of sustainable initiatives. These include several of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals on more responsible consumption and production, less use of plastic and a clarification of which styles are sustainably produced. In line with sustainability, they also work for a fair social environment and ensure that all their suppliers maintain social justice and high ethical standards.

On 27 February 2026, Datoselskabet BF af februar ApS (formerly Byflou.com ApS) was declared bankrupt by the Danish Probate Court in Aalborg. We have acquired the name and domain Byflou.com — not the company. This means we do not assume any debts, orders or obligations from the previous Byflou, and that we are neither legally nor financially able to assist with losses incurred there.

For some, the closure of Byflou was more than an inconvenience — it was trust that was broken. We carry that with us. We cannot undo what happened, but we can build something that deserves yours. And we hope, in time, to earn a place in your home again.
