The elegant and simple Boomerang HM1 chair was designed by the design duo Hvidt & Mølgaard in 1956. The armchair is made of milled solid wood. The legs of the chair are made with a special tool in stainless steel. The Boomerang HM1 chair is available with either stainless steel or brass legs.
The iconic company Hvidt & Mølgaard was founded by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen. The duo is known for simple and aesthetic works. Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen studied furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and Peter Hvidt studied at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts. Hvidt & Mølgaard achieved great prestige during their career, and their works can therefore be seen at MoMA, the Copenhagen Design Museum and Melbourne's National Gallery, among others.
